Threadless launched new products

For the past 2-3 years most print on demand companies have been tightening the belt, giving the axe to many products in their catalogue only keeping their sure fire best sellers in their catalogue, to the point that NONE seems to have any unique selling points items like they once did in the past. So imagine my surprise the other day when I realised Threadless launched new products, and not just one or two, but a WHOLE range of them! I spent all of yesterday enabling my art on their brand new range of glassware, bottles and tumblers and I am pretty excited by that because until now, only Redbubble and Society6 was doing water bottles. With Redbubble removing them from their catalog a few years ago and Society6 having limited the amount of designs they offer in their whole new curated approach, that left a big gap in that market. Glassware is something that NONE of the PoD I work with have ever had, the only breakable drinkware everybody is doing is ceramic mugs. I always thought my designs, especially the retro bubble badges would look really cool on glasses, and Threadless is having 4 options to chose from : pint glasses, rocks (whiskey glasses), sipper with lid and straw and sipper without a lid. The tall pint glass for some reason reminds me of those glasses that doubled as mustard and mayo jars in the 80s and had cool cartoons illustration on them. Once the content was over, you washed them and BAM you had a fun drinking glass for you and your sibblings to fight over at meal time (we obviously all wanted the same one!). I also could see myself sipping an iced coffee out of that sipper with straw.

Threadless has been having travel mugs for years but they added two more offering in the same kind of product range tumblers in two sizes : wine tumblers and everyday tumblers. The tall everyday one comes in 3 finishes : black, steel or white, and enabled all 3 on most designs except when there was too much white or black in any of them. The wine tumbler comes in only two finishes : steel or white. I haven't added pictures of the bottles here on this post, but Threadless launched two variant : slim and everyday which comes in white or black (slim only comes in white).
Of all the PoD I work with right now, Threadless is the ONLY one that has made the effort to keep unique products nobody else is doing like round rugs and shoes, and now glassware. It's comforting to know that there was still places people can buy things that nobody else is having in a print on demand format. I'm for one hoping these new products do well, both for me, and of course Threadless. They ship worldwide, but I am not sure if any glassware might reach me intact in India, the wine tumbler is one I would order myself, even though I really don't drink much, and never on the go. It just looks cute and would be the prefect size for a tea or coffee on the go.
