New collection : Frogs in bloom

A top-down flat lay of a decorative tea setting on a pink patterned background. The scene includes a teal and black wave-patterned plate topped with a smaller plate featuring floral-printed frogs and two raspberries. Beside the plates are a gold shell-shaped spoon, floral napkins, and a gold cake server holding a slice of cake topped with white cream, raspberries, and blueberries.

Every year between December and January designers are scooping the upcoming trends and planning their portfolio strategy., I'm no different, I look at Cat Coq's trend report, the Pinterest trend report and have a look at WGSN on their Instagram handle to get a feel of what's trending, and of course I look at fashion designers' shows as well. This is this combination of sources that lead me to put together my new collection : Frogs in bloom. Cat predicted in her report that both frogs and the water garden theme would be trending in 2026 and sure enough, Dior just unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2026-27 collection inspired by lily pads and water gardens. When Cat's report went live, I already had several art pieces in several of the upcoming trends. This is where my floral frog silhouette which I created in 2024 and turned into a pattern for a Spoonflower design challenge recaptured my attention.

I had the frog stand alone illustration, the matching pattern, and the pink flower chintz on charcoal background already. All I needed to round up this collection were a few filler patterns. With the frogs in bloom pattern having a retro/modern vibe I decided to pair it with a seigaiha waves pattern in a couple of matching colorways as well as two "dashes" chevron patterns to mirror background texture of the hero design. Fun fact : the two chevron patterns were actually created to complement another illustration I created but haven't decided to turn into a collection yet. It turned out the colors pretty much match my frog in bloom illustration so I repurposed them. After all, work smarter not harder is the moto of every designers out there (or should be).

The collection is pretty versatile currently all the patterns are available with Spoonflower, and some are available with Redbubble as well. The whole collection is licensable, so if you have a project that would be compatible, do not hesitate to contact me.
